Lights, Camera, Fashion!

On September 11th, TGB celebrated a year in business and wow did we have an amazing time. Months prior, I contacted several of my friends and asked if they would like to model in my fashion show.

Initially, I thought it would be a quaint event. I would showcase the types of clothing and accessories offered our little boutique. After sitting down and really thinking through my ideas, my plan grew. I was excited. I thought about what it would be like to attend a fashion show at New York's fashion week. It was then that I decided the folks of Bertie would really enjoy our own version of fashion week.

I spent the next several months creating a look book. Each model had two outfits chosen especially for them. There were three categories. Casual/Mommy Mode, All, About HER business, and Night on the Town.

I wanted my friends, the women who trusted me with their looks for this show to have as much of the experience as possible.

I hired two local make-up artists that would glam them up for the evening. I secured a entertainment company to provide the stage, lighting, and of course music. I also commissioned a professional photographer to capture candid shots. The kind that would instantly remind me of the very moment that had been memorialized.

The show was a success. Mission accomplished. I truly celebrated TGB that day. It will forever be one accomplishment for which I am the most proud.
